A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 190C Series is available, major changes are:
- Improved TrendPlot scaling
- Improved Voltage Readings stability
- When performing a TrendPlot of an Input A measurement, the probe attenuation factor of Input B was shown.
- If a meter TrendPlot is acquired in FlukeView 4.0, it can show a scaling error. This happens if a previously acquired TrendPlot had different range or probe attenuator settings.

A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 190 Series is available, which gives you the following additional functions:
- Variable input sensitivity on Input A for units that have the MS190 software package installed
- Advanced waveform mathematics for adding, subtracting and multiplying waveforms
- A versus B waveform display for advanced signal analysis
- Automatic risetime measurement
- Setup strings compatibility improved.
- If a scope waveform or scope trendplot waveform is displayed in FlukeView, it has an offset with respect to the waveform on the ScopeMeter display.
- If a trace is partially outside the display area, Vpp readings can show a number; the readings
should show overload ( - - - -)
- If you save Replay screen+setups, then recall a screen+setup and select zoom, the wrong Replay screen can be displayed. Also wrong readings can be shown after recalling a Replay screen.
- When downloading a waveform with FlukeView version V3.xx, a communication error can appear ("Time out waiting for response from the 199"). This happens for example if the ScopeMeter A-B Math function is on, or if one of the RECORD+SETUP memories is
downloaded.
- If complex screens (for example trace A, B, Math on) with the menu bar on and more than half shown in gray, are downloaded with FlukeView V3.xx, the gray part is not transferred
- In Trendplot the display shows a wrong grid at 0.5 h/div. ; the shown grid is 9 divisions, this must be 12 divisions. When the trendplot is stopped, the correct grid pops up.
- The stability of Vac , Vac+dc, Aac, Aac+dc, dB Vac, and db Vac+dc readings has been improved.
Upgrading Version V3.x or V4.0x to Version V4.08 - Instruments with firmware version V3.0x or V4.0x are field upgradable free of charge. A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 190 Series is available, which gives you the following additional functions:
- The size of the Japanese and Korean banners shown for the 10:1 AC probe calibration was too large. As a result the trace was invisible, and correct adjustment was impossible. The V01.23 has smaller Japanese and Korean banners.
- The battery charge/refresh process has been improved. In software versions V01.00 ... V01.23 the process incorrectly detects "battery full, stop charging" in some situations. This results in a short battery operating time. The new software will result in fewer complaints about the battery operating time.
- Minor changes in the Waveform Options menu, and has extended persistence features
Upgrading Version V1.22 or V1.23 to Version V1.24 - Instruments with firmware version V1.22 or V1.23 are field upgradable free of charge. Click here to download the FlashTool software (589 KB) that allows you to upgrade the instrument firmware.

A firmware upgrade for ScopeMeter test tool 120 Series is available, which gives you the following additional functions:
- The new firmware provides probe settings 20:1 and 200:1 for the DP120 differential probe. The 1000:1 probe setting has been canceled.
- In the previous firmware the print function only supports A4 paper format
- Probe settings 1000:1, 10 mV/mA, and 0.1 mV/A have been added.
- When a temperature or diode measurement is trendplotted, and the Fluke123 is switched off and on again, the vertical scaling information is shown.
- The trigger icon in VIDEO mode is automatically set to negative edge ( ) at VIDEO POLARITY POSITIVE, and to positive edge ( ) at VIDEO POLARITY NEGATIVE. This reflects the actual trigger edge.
- The following bug has been solved:
Set Input B OFF, select TRENDPLOT, press HOLD, press V Hz A (INPUT B MEASUREMENTS menu), press right arrow key (MEASURE on B), press F4 (ENTER), press F4 (YES, restart TRENDPLOT); TRENDPLOT is restarted now, but the display still shows HOLD in V01.03 and lower.
